Children who are depressed or anxious often have a difficult time coping in life. This is something that parents and teachers need to be aware of and notice when there is a change of behavior. A lot of children will simply get sad, and their behavior will start to change. Symptoms will change in a matter of days. For other children it will be more gradual. They may have issues at school that they are struggling with. It may be mild in the beginning, but this can simply get out of hand.

For example, when someone is suffering from social anxiety disorder, they will struggle to socialize with others. They won't want to venture out and even stand up in front of the class. They may think that people are going to laugh at them. They will begin to sweat and may even stutter. Eventually they will not want to go to school anymore.
