The park also has a modern campground.

Lake Sakakawea is the largest lake in the state. Its shoreline covers a total distance of over 1500 miles. Water sports enthusiasts like to flock it for kayaking, motor boating and sailing. It is also a good place to fish all through the year. Modern campgrounds are available nearby, so traveling in an RV would be a good idea. You may also get boat rentals in case you do not haul one.
