The love for sound is integrated in the nature of man. The fascination stems from hearing the sound of birds chirping whilst when perched up a tree. The act of singing is most done to express the emotion that one is feeling during the act and creating lyrics that would fit the feelings being felt is a big thing for many songwriters and lyricist at a hand. The art is praised through out the history of the world.

The act of being able to sing is described as using the voice to make music and different sounds as well. These singers are often trained professional and use vocal techniques to compete in vocal competitions. These are the type of place where one can show how good they are at being able to perform in front of other people and impress them as well.

In singing though, there are different ways to perform and enjoy it. Two examples of this is doing an formal and informal kinds of singing. The more formal way would be when a person is performing in front of a crowed and is expected to entertain them and make them feel the power of the song. The other one is called informal, and as its name implies, these are done in private and when with family and friends were there is no one to judge if its bad or not.

A song can also be performed as an act of religious devotion. These are popular even in todays world. Most are done in church along with a choir in order to make the sound more harmonized and heavenly. This sort of style was very popular during the middle ages were going to church and worshiping was a very important duty to people who lived in that time period.

Most popular though, is that it is performed as a hobby. Many love to sing as a way to enjoy themselves and derive pleasure and comfort from such an activity as this. The hobby is a profound activity as many different places carter to people who want to sing the night away, even if they do not have the best quality in voice and rhythm.

But to be good in this particular activity or even gain a profession from it, dedication and time are the things required at minimum. The practice for voice lessons is done on a regular basis to make the singers voice much clearer and stronger than before. Without any sort of lessons, the voice could easily be strained and damaged.

European classical music had classified voices as musical instruments that needed care and knowledge on how it should be played. Many composers had to take into account the skills that a singer has. The written music would take into account the different skills and vocal quality that a singer might possess in order to create the best form of music using it.

The Europeans eventually came up with a system to classify the different properties that make up a vocal sound. This had become a way to make sure what kind of vocal ability the singer will poses. The different qualities are as follows, vocal transition and the range of vocals that make up the sound.

Thanks to all these advancements and developments, the ability to perform had become much better now in modern times. With the help of coach and others, the ability of a person that wishes to learn is magnified. Know it has become a modern sensation and a main form of entertainment.
